Which box do I start with?

How long until I see something?

First Sunday: the patch shows you what came out. Week four: fewer new blackheads. Week eight: texture and whiteheads down. Week twelve: the after photo. Anyone promising faster is selling a scrub.

What goes on first?

Morning: Degrease Wash, then Day Job Gel, then Clearcoat SPF 30. Night: Degrease Wash, then Unclog Pads, then Night Shift Serum. Sunday night: Pull Patches after the shower, on dry skin. Every label repeats this.

Do the Unclog Pads sting?

A light tingle the first week is 2% salicylic acid doing its job. If it stings past a minute, or you're red the next morning, go every other night for a week, then back to nightly. Not on broken skin. Not right after shaving.

My skin got worse in week two.

That's the purge. Plugs that were already forming come up faster than they would have on their own. It passes by week four. Drop Night Shift to two nights a week if it's rough. Don't stop. This is the week most men quit, and it's the one that matters.

I'm on tretinoin or adapalene. Can I use Night Shift?

Not the same night. Prescription retinoids are stronger than retinal, so you don't need both. Follow your doctor's instructions and skip Night Shift, or alternate nights if they're fine with it. Pads, Wash, and Day Job are fine alongside a prescription. Start the Pads every other night.

Can I use just the Pads?

You can. Pads alone clear what's there. Without Night Shift, new ones keep forming. Without Day Job, the acid dries you out and your skin makes more oil to compensate. The System exists because the pieces cover each other.

Is Day Job Gel a moisturizer?

Yes. Oil-free gel with 5% niacinamide. Absorbs in about thirty seconds, dries matte, no film under a beard or a hat. Very dry? Use it at night too, after Night Shift.

How often do I use Pull Patches?

Once a week. Sunday night. They're hydrocolloid, not glue: they pull what the Pads already loosened. More often doesn't pull more, it just irritates. Sixteen strips is eight weeks of nose and chin.

Will it work with a beard?

Yes. Pads and Patches go on nose, forehead, cheeks. Night Shift and Day Job go into the beard without residue. Degrease Wash rinses clean out of a beard.

Sensitive skin?

Everything is fragrance-free. No alcohol in the serum or the gel. If your skin is reactive, start Pads every other night and Night Shift two nights a week, and build up over two weeks. Anything red for more than a day: stop that product and email us.

Pregnant or nursing partner using it?

Retinal (Night Shift) and salicylic acid (Wash, Pads) are generally not recommended during pregnancy or nursing. Day Job Gel and Pull Patches are fine. Ask a doctor first.

Fragrance?

None. No "unscented" masking fragrance either.

Sunscreen?

Wear it. Retinal and salicylic acid make skin more sun-sensitive, and sun is what oxidizes a plug black. Clearcoat SPF 30 is a clear, oil-free matte gel that goes over Day Job and doesn't look like sunscreen.

What's the Drug Facts panel?

Degrease Wash, Unclog Pads, and Clearcoat SPF 30 contain active ingredients regulated as over-the-counter drugs in the US, so they carry a Drug Facts panel on the label. Read it. Night Shift Serum, Day Job Gel, and Pull Patches are cosmetics.
